Google Expands AI-Powered Search Live Feature Worldwide:

Google has announced the global rollout of its AI-driven conversational search feature, Search Live, making it available in over 200 countries and regions where its AI Mode is supported. Previously limited to the United States and India, the feature is now accessible to users worldwide across multiple languages.

Originally introduced in July 2025, Search Live allows users to interact with search in a more dynamic way. By pointing their smartphone camera at objects, users can receive real-time assistance through natural, back-and-forth conversations that incorporate visual context from the camera feed.

This global expansion is powered by Google’s latest model, Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, which enhances voice and audio interactions to feel more intuitive and human-like.

To access the feature, users can open the Google app on Android or iOS and tap the “Live” icon located beneath the search bar. They can then ask questions aloud, receive spoken responses, and continue the interaction with follow-up queries. The feature also provides links for users who want to explore topics further.

Search Live is designed for situations where typing may not be convenient. For example, users can point their camera at an object—such as a piece of furniture they’re assembling—and get step-by-step guidance or relevant suggestions in real time.

Additionally, the feature integrates with Google Lens, allowing users to switch to “Live” mode directly while using their camera.

Alongside this, Google is expanding its “Live Translate” feature on Google Translate to iOS and more global markets. This tool enables real-time audio translations through headphones and now supports over 70 languages across a wider range of countries, further strengthening Google’s push toward seamless, AI-powered communication.
